Update on New System
« on: October 14, 2012, 08:39:18 AM »
The new forum is much more flexible and offers advanced search facilities, however, being new it will take some time to work your way around the system. The only key difference to the previous email based system is that you can not respond to a message by email and must respond via the web site. We appreciate that many users liked this facility, however, it was heavily abused by spammers and had become a significant issue.

Below are a few hints and tips to help you use the new system

1) What to do if you have forgotten your password
Select "Login" then click on the  "Forgot your password?" link. You will be sent a reminder.

2) How do I go straight to the discussion group that I am interested in?
You can simply bookmark the discussion group and go straight there each time, here are the shortcuts which you can use:

PharmWeb Appointments Alert -]

GMP Discussion Group -

Pharmaceutical Sci-Tech Discussion Group -

Controlled Release Discussion Group -

Regulatory Affairs Discussion Group -

3) How do I subscribe to a discussion group?
Simply select Notify, this is effectively the same as subscribe. If you prefer you can just subscribe to a particular discussion (rather than the group) and then you will only be notified when a response is made to the discussion.

4) I want a copy of the response in the email when I am notified?
Select "Profile" at the top of the page, then select "Notifications" and select "When sending notification of a reply to a topic, send the post in the email" You can also select how often you are notified.

We have a frequently asked questions (FAQ) page at and a brief introduction at

More detailed help is available at

We hope that this information is helpful but please let us know if you are having any difficulties using the system, we will update the FAQ page accordingly.

Please do use the forum, we have built up almost 20 years of archives and it is a valuable resource for our community. Please also let your colleagues know about the new system...

Best wishes
